Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) occurs in approximately 1 in 10 Australian children. That’s at least 1 in every school class. Children can have issues with many daily activities including running, climbing, getting dressed and writing. Movement problems can cause issues both at school and home, often leading to feelings of isolation and low self esteem.

At Bodyfit Physio we use ‘Pilates and Physio Fun’ sessions to build fundamental skills required for play and life. We always start with a comprehensive assessment to determine your child’s needs and the best way to assist them to build their skills and have fun. Children usually benefit from several 1 on 1 sessions prior to joining a class. We run half hour classes with 2 children so that your child gets the individual attention they need in an environment they will love.  Physiotherapy is covered by most health insurance policies with some offering no-gap treatment for children.
